First shots of Agincourt French
We received the first test shots of the Agincourt French Infantry frame back from Renedra over the weekend. Although they are first shots (they need a little tweaking) they have come out very well, Renedra have done a great job yet again! Alan couldn't wait to put a few, well quite a lot, together. There will be a French foot knights frame in the box too. Also there will be a dedicated box for foot knights of both sides coming out around the same time. This will be early next year....and yes, there will be a cavalry box at some point. They are 28mm and hard plastic.

Two HYW Plastic box update
The two boxes are the 'Agincourt Foot Knights' and the 'Agincourt French Infantry'. The release date for BOTH Agincourt sets is late February, however it might be a bit earlier.
Here is the Agincourt French men at arms frame. There will be one of these frames in the Agincourt French Infantry box set and three together with three English men at arms frames (previously released with the English army set). The two latter frames will make up the Agincourt Foot Knights set.
Renedra, who are always up for a challenged have done it again with the fine details on visors and weapons etc. on this frame.
All three sets (including the English Army set) have interchangeable parts allowing an enormous choice of individual figures to be created by the customer.
The two box covers are beautifully painted, as always, by Peter Dennis.
Pour Black Powder :
British Marines and Light Dragoons (on foot) are now in!
British Napoleonic Army 1801-15
28mm metal figures designed by Alan Perry
BH 97 Flank companies firing line round hats, 1801 (India, Egypt, West and East Indies, South Africa)
BH 98 Flank companies in crested round hats marching 1801 (India, Egypt, West and East Indies, South Africa)
BH 99 Marine command standing
BH 100 Marine firing line
BH 101 Light Dragoon command, foot service 1801 (Egypt)
BH 102 Light Dragoons, foot service, firing line (Egypt)
BH 103 Dismounted Light Dragoons skirmishing 1808-12
Most of these are designed for Egypt (1801), but the Marines could be used anywhere, they changed their title to Royal Marines in 1802, changing their facings to blue at the same time. These could be used up to 1807 when the shoulder knots for NCO's were abandoned.
In Egypt Light dragoons without horses were ordered to hand over their carbines to the artillery and to take muskets for foot service. BH 103 are dismounted Light Dragoons for the Peninsula War. These maybe useful for skirmish games although British cavalry tended to do their fighting from horse back......when they had horses!

Agincourt French Infantry 1415-29
This set contains 36 infantry and 6 men at arms/knights. The infantry are armed with spears, crossbows, double-handed weapons and hand weapons. The men at arms have pole arms, hand weapons and cut-down lances/spears. All the figures in this box can actually be used for any Western European army of the period as the clothing and armour styles were very similar. The components of this set can also be mixed with the English Army boxed set (AO 40). Although the men at arms are specifically designed for the 1415-29 period, the infantry could be used for the 1390’s through to the 1430’s/40s.
